The Fokker Dr.1 was the most
legendary airplane of World War I,
although few more than 300 of these
machines were ever built. The Dr.1
was extremely manoeuvrable and was
flown by many experienced pilots.

The SPAD XIII was used increasingly as of the
fall of 1917 by the French fighter pilot troops
on the western front. The biplane proved itself
a serious opponent to be reckoned with at the
hands of skilled pilots.
