The horizontal and dive bomber was one of
the standard fighter planes of the German
Air Force and was also used as a heavy
fighter, night fighter, destroyer, torpedo
bomber and reconnaissance aircraft in all the
theatres of war.

This bomber was also supposed to be used in attacks on the USA during WWII.
In its basic concept the Ar (E) 555 was equivalent to the first generation of the
stealth airplanes.
